1 DAY TRIP AROUND THE KOH CHANG

1 - WHITE SAND BEACH VIEW POINT  
An unofficial viewpoint has emerged just before this last stretch as if offers some great sweeping aerial views of the town, beach and out to sea. 
Crossing over the mountain from Klong Son, the road makes a couple of hard switchback climbs near the National Park Office before it passes the steep incline leading to White Sand Beach Resort and begins its descent into white Sand Beach (Hat Sai Khao in Thai, hat meaning beach, sai, sand and khao white). Over time, an unofficial viewpoint has emerged just before this last stretch as it offers some great seeping aerial views of the town, beach and out to sea.  



2 - KOH CHANG SHRINE
Legend has it many prayers have been answered and many wishes granted.
Shrine of Chao Po Koh Chang is a highly valued shrine, especially by local people. Chao Po Koh Chang (the Deity of Koh Chang) has protected people on Koh Chang, its nearby islands and Trat on the mainland. Fishermen lost at sea or hit by monsoon put their faith in Chao Po Koh Chang. According to legend, many prayers have been answered and the locals have been praying to Chao Po Koh Chang, regarding various hardships, from poor harvests to illness or other miseries.


3 - THAN MAYOM WATERFALL
Than Mayom is one of the two beautiful waterfall on the island, it's on the east coast of the island.
Than Mayom is a medium sized waterfall with 4 levels. Located on Koh Chang's east coast. The waterfall can be reached by following a short path through the fruit orchards at the rear of the Marine National Park Office. The first level has a large pool at the front of the waterfall where swimming is allowed. The first and thirs levels of the waterfall have the initials of two previous Kings of Thailand, Rama V and VII, engraved into the rock. The fourth level of Tam Mayom waterfall is some distance away and although not many visitors get to see this level. It is well worth the walk if you like trekking.  



4 - BAAN SALAK KOH
Located on the east side of the island, the mangrove-limed Salakkok Bay is home to a quiet fishing village. 


5 - BAAN SALAK PHET
Covers a large area. It's used for a specific village that lies to the north and west of the bay, the bay itself, and all of the land surrounding the bay.

6 - KLONG PLU WATERFALL
The most popular and easily accessible ones are Klong Plu Waterfall. 
Probably the best known and most popular waterfall on Koh Chang due to its close proximity to the favoured west coast beaches. Klong Plu Waterfall is a large fall of 3 levels and is about a 20 minute hike from the main entrance. Most visitors stay on the first level, the 10 meter fall is an impressive sight and the plunge pool at the bottom is grat for a refreshing swim. The second and thirs levels of Klong Plu Waterfall can be reached after a slippery climb to the top.


7 - TAKE PHOTO WITH ELEPHANT

8 - KAI BAE VIEW POINT 
Old national park viewpoint above Kai Bae, Sea views to Koh Yuak and beaches.



9 - BANG BAO FISHING VILLAGE
Located at the bottom of the western side of the island and is lined with small guesthouses, shops selling souvenirs, seafood restaurants, and small cafes serving fruit juices and shakes.
